Viable’s Bridge for Trafficking Survivors

Did you know?

Three weeks ago, 17 men were arrested in Middle TN on charges of trafficking for a commercial sex act. The men arrived at a hotel and exchanged money with undercover officers believing they were paying to have sex with a 16-year old girl. Efforts were lead by Metro Nashville Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit, assisted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and Homeland Security.

Unfortunately, where there is demand, there is supply.

We are grateful for law enforcement, healthcare providers, policy makers, and the faithful saints providing social services who all faithfully and admirably serve victims and survivors.

But, the need and work doesn’t stop there. The last mile of a survivor’s journey requires financial independence.

Without meaningful employment, survivors are at-risk of being re-trafficked. Right now, survivors are struggling and failing to find work. They have aspirations for a career, not just a dead end job. They are willing to work for it. All while Middle TN employers need workers.

There are legitimate reason’s why this connection isn’t naturally made. You can help Viable build a bridge for trafficking survivors to meet labor needs of Middle TN employers.
